What information helps a mover quote your move
The details that turn a rough idea into a useful quote.
Where and when
Share where the move starts and ends. A town or ZIP is enough at first. Give your moving date, or a range of dates if you have not decided. Say if the date is fixed, such as a lease end or closing day.
How much is moving
Say how many bedrooms you have and list big or heavy items, such as a piano, a safe or a large sofa. Mention a garage, basement or storage unit. These details shape the time and crew a move needs.
Access and extra help
Tell the mover about stairs, elevators, long walks from the truck or tight parking. Say if you want help packing all or part of your home. Ask what the quote includes so you can compare it with others.
